Saturday morning saw two evenly matched teams contest a great game of football. The opening minutes of the game had both teams going full throttle to see who could make the early breakthrough but both defences' stood firm and D'Angelo on three occasions making a last ditch tackle to thwart the Norton Canes forward line.
It was Bilbrook who got in front after a mix up with the opposition goalkeeper and defenders pretty much gifted the easiest goal Ethan will probably score, 1-0 Bilbrook. Ethan then double the advantage for Bilbrook in added time, continuing his fine goal scoring form which has him on 9 goals from the opening 6 games of the season.
Half Time - Bilbrook Junior 2-0 Norton Canes Blues
Knowing that Norton Canes would come out fighting the second half, Bilbrook lapsed concentration in the opening minutes that saw Norton Canes get an early goal to keep the game alive for them. 2-1 and game on.
Both teams continued to battle hard, with both managers kept busy seeing to injured/tiring players. With 4 minutes to go Norton Canes salvaged what will be for them a valuable point, but Bilbrook for the second week running will see it as 2 dropped points.
